O'Donovan's Hotel is located in the south west of Ireland, in Clonakilty, West Cork. The whole of the West Cork area is at your doorstep with it’s many attractions. Or you may prefer to spend a few days in Clonakilty town where there is plenty to occupy the visitor during the day, such as visits to the Model Railway Village, the West Cork Museum, or within a few miles of the Hotel the Inchydoney blue flag beach, Lios-na-gCon Ring Fort, and the Michael Collins Memorial Homestead. Of course this is not a complete list!

The County of Cork situated in the South West of Ireland is the largest of all the Irish counties. Its rich farmlands and river valleys contrast with the rocky hills of the Western coast, there is the magnificent coastline with great bays, headlands and coves.

The Towns and Villages are lively and friendly, and  welcoming to strangers who come to join in the fun.

Directions
The Hotel is located on Pearse Street, in Clonakilty Town, in West Cork, in Ireland.

By car
You may wish to rent a car in Cork City or Cork Airport. Once in a car follow signs for "West Cork", then "Clonakilty", then "Town Centre" or "Pearse Street" (once in Clonakilty do not take the "bypass" road). Once on Pearse Street (which is a one way street) you will see O'Donovan's Hotel on your left, drive through the archway into our carpark. If you have to park on a public Street or in the Town Council carpark please note there is a two-hour limit Mon-Sat that is enforced by a traffic warden.

By taxi/hackney
Clonakilty is about 100km or one hour from Cork City, so a taxi/hackney can be expensive. So it is best to ask how much it will cost at the start of the journey, and make sure you have enough cash to hand. For local journeys however, a hackneys are commonly used. Clonakilty Hackney Services.

By bus
Bus Éireann run a service between Cork City (The Bus Station at Parnell Place) and Clonakilty (Pearse Street right outside the door of the Hotel!). Pearse Street is a one way Street so the Bus Éireann service from Clonakilty to Cork City departs runs from the Bypass in Clonakilty, which is less than 10 minutes walk fron the door of the Hotel.

By air
The nearest airport is Cork International Airport (ORK) which is just outside Cork City.

By rail
The nearest Train Station is Kent Station which is in Cork City.
